In recent years, we have seen many startups enter the #FinTech ecosystem in Canada. With entrepreneurs and innovators exploring new ways to disrupt the traditional financial lending system, it’s safe to say the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending space is one of the fastest growing and most exciting sectors within FinTech. MaRS Discovery District, one of the world’s largest urban innovation hubs, established Canada’s first dedicated FinTech Cluster, supporting the commercialization of financial technology built by Canadian entrepreneurs. Lendified recently joined the MaRS FinTech Cluster near the end of Small Business Month in late October 2015.
Lendified’s CEO and Founder Troy Wright will be headlining as a panelist in MaRS’s upcoming FinTech event, “#P2PLending: The Future of Lending Now.” Adam Nanjee, MaRS Discovery District’s Head of Financial Technology, will be moderating the panel discussion, where startup fintech executives will provide an in-depth perspective on the financial technology landscape.
“#P2PLending: The Future of Lending Now” takes place November 23 at the MaRS Discovery District Auditorium from 5:45pm to 10:00pm EST. This event costs $10 and require registration through Eventrbite. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in gaining exposure to the Canadian FinTech community, as well networking with various industry professionals.
We hope to see you there! If you can’t be there in person, be sure to follow @Lendified and @TroyWrightCEO on Twitter for live updates during the discussion.
