Adjudication Specialist

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an Adjudication Specialist to join our Lending team. Ideally, you want to make an impact in whatever you do, enjoy problem-solving, and look to continuously improve processes. What you will do

As part of the Lending Operations team, you will help with the throughput and adjudication of loans. In a startup, there is no shortage of initiatives or projects, so you’ll have the opportunity to get exposure to all functions of the business: Sales, marketing, product development, and data science. You’ll help steer the lending team’s ship towards greater efficiency and be a continuous improvement advocate.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with the Sales team to facilitate adjudication results
  • Leverage our adjudication platform to prioritize the application pipeline
  • Analyze key loan applications using our innovative methodology
  • Leverage and enhance our categorization engine for applicant’s bank transactions
  • Identify trends, capture data and provide feedback for our Data Science team

What you will do

You will own infrastructure management and the production environment. Your mission is to help us deploy clean code faster. Through your oversight, release management and continuous integration processes will be rigorous – getting our code into production efficiently. This will involve assessing infrastructure capabilities, building tools, setting up test and production environments, and collaborating with development and implementation teams to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the entire infrastructure management which includes:

Development infrastructure

  • Identify, recommend, install and configure development infrastructure;
  • In charge of version control, build management, deployment management, dependencies management, continuous integration and delivery, etc.;
  • Identify and implement best practices for organizing the developer’s environment;
  • Design, develop, and implement reusable components that improve performance and processes;
  • Write and maintain scripts;
  • Set up and maintain the test environments for both manual and automated testing.

Business Process/Performance

  • Evaluate existing applications and platforms and provide recommendations for improving performance by conducting gap analysis, identifying alternative solutions and implementing solutions;
  • QA the development process by gathering metrics of development effectiveness and find ways to eliminate bottlenecks in development process (running unit-tests, evaluating unit-tests coverage, running inspections, etc.);
  • Perform automated/load tests and address any issues;
  • Document functions and changes to new or modified modules, test activities/results and other areas (e.g., error handling, backup/recovery procedures);
  • Performing on-going security testing and code review to improve software security.

Deployment

  • Build automated deployments using configuration management technology;
  • Deploy new modules, upgrades and fixes to the production environment;
  • Document and transfer knowledge to production support;

Release management

  • Ensure releases are delivered on time and modules are production ready;
  • Create release notes, deployment plans, etc.;
  • Verify the functionality of components and services to ensure deployment meets client’s expectations.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or relevant work experience;
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in infrastructure engineering/DevOps/system administration;
  • Strong background in Windows system administration and networking;
  • Experience setting up, building and managing MS Azure environments;
  • Some experience with infrastructure as code;
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source or MS Azure proprietary technologies and tools;
  • Ability to code and script in PowerShell or another programming language of your choice;

What you will do

You will figure out what to test and how to test our lending application by collaborating with our development team and then writing test cases and setting up and doing manual and automated testing. We’re a small team so communication flows easily but process sometimes takes a backseat. Your job will include promoting best practices for QA and developing processes that make everyone more efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements, use cases, design documents etc. in order to derive test scenarios, test cases, and test steps.
  • Participate in feature requirements review for testability, including writing and reviewing of manual test plans;
  • Responsible for end-to-end product quality, including defect management, status reporting, and escalation for critical issues discovered during the testing phase;

What you will do

We have a super flat org structure, so you’ll get to touch everything from strategy to fixing things. That means you’ll review and tweak the security architecture and roadmap for Lendified’s technology platform and then work closely with the software engineering team to define and champion security policies and standards.

Your responsibilities

  • Conduct regular security reviews to meet security goals — from high-level cloud and web application architecture to OS level parameters:
    • Ensure current practices comply with security policies;
    • Recommend and implement practical changes to security policies and practices;
    • Figure out the best way to communicate and transfer knowledge to whoever needs to know about security stuff;
  • Monitor system security and proactively identify security flaws and vulnerabilities:
    • Mitigate vulnerabilities using good risk-based judgment;
    • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to champion secure development practices and make the right security decisions with respect to identified flaws and vulnerabilities of current/future application architecture;
  • Monitor our server traffic, ticketing and report unusual packets;
  • Participate in incident response activities and provide forensics data and guidance as needed;
  • Work with partners to evaluate and deliver on requested security requirements;

Your qualifications

Ideally, you are positioned between the cloud and security worlds and have:

  • Experience breaking down complex systems and applications to find relevant security risks;
  • Experience with industry known common vulnerabilities and attack vectors;

  • Experience in system administration, security hardening of Linux and Window servers, and software development and software development practices;
