Business Development Representative

We are seeking an energetic and driven junior sales professional to join our team. We provide millions in funding each month to businesses across Canada and want your help in spreading the word about our fast and affordable business loans! The BDR role is considered the ‘gateway’ into the company.

What you will do

The successful candidate will have the important task of providing qualified leads to our sales team. The candidate will proactively reach out to merchants who have requested information and will also cold-call new merchants. The goal is to pre-qualify candidates over the phone and put our sales team in a position where they can close the deal. It’s expected that the successful candidate be prepared to make north of 120 dials per day!

  • 1+ years sales experience (experience selling to businesses is preferred, but not required).
  • Strong organization and verbal communication skills.

Front End Developer

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented front end developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will take the designs created by web designers and use a mix of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to code those website designs. You will work closely with various members of this organization to play a key role in the successful launch of websites and applications.

What you will do

  • Review designs created by web designers; ask any necessary clarifying questions before starting on work
  • Write code to implement those visual elements into various web applications
  • Create prototypes, mockups, and staging sites for review and feedback
  • Optimize websites and applications to ensure fast loading speeds
  • Maintain websites and implement any necessary additions or enhancements
  • Identify and troubleshoot various website issues and coding problems

Growth Marketing Manager

Lendified – a leading fintech company founded by former bank executives – is seeking an experienced Growth Marketing Manager to join our growing team in Toronto. We provide millions in funding each month to businesses across Canada and want your help in engaging the thousands of other small businesses who could use our fast and affordable business loans.

What You’ll do

As the Growth Marketing Manager, you will lead Lendified’s marketing efforts and have a strong focus on customer acquisition. This will involve collaborating with our Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to optimize the user experience and hit our overall growth targets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive new customer acquisition while improving our ROAS.
  • Responsible to create an overall marketing strategy
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of campaigns across channels including (but not limited to) paid search, paid social, organic, and public relations.
  • Through testing and working with Customer Experience team, optimize funnel conversion metrics.
  • Launch and manage referral marketing partnerships and test new acquisition channels.
  • Manage company SEO strategy working in partnership with Technology

Back End Developer 

Responsibilities

  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
  • Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Design and implementation of data storage solutions
  • Implementation of security and data protection
  • Implement principles such as continuous integration, automation, and deployment with complex applications & solutions
  • Deploy, automate, manage and monitor cloud (AWS & Azure) based systems to ensure high availability, performance, scalability and security
  • Make recommendations and improvements on current environment as needed
  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Build scalable, reliable, resilient, secure systems that are built open-source with cloud-first architecture.

Qualifications 

  • Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language like PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, JavaScript etc.

Credit Risk Manager

Who we are looking for:

Lendified is looking for an experienced Credit Risk Manager to lead our underwriting team in downtown Toronto. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has developed and assessed risk methodologies for underwriting loans to small and medium-sized businesses, in a “tech” environment or with an appreciation for a technology-driven decision process. If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!


Responsibilities:

  • Own the underwriting function at Lendified;
  • Lead a small team of underwriters and manage the day-to-day operations of assessing applications;
  • Work with our CFO, Loan Operations and our Credit Committee to continuously improve our risk and underwriting framework;
  • Propose, develop, test, and implement new risk management tools and methodologies;
  • Jump-in and analyze key loan applications – we’re a small company and your experience will be valued;
  • Leverage our reporting system to monitor and develop KPI’s to continuously improve our throughput of loans;
  • Interact with the Sales team to facilitate adjudication results;
  • Leverage and enhance our credit engine;
  • Collaborate with a small team across the entire company to ensure we constantly improve our technology and ability to scale.

Qualifications:

  • University degree with a business, finance, or accounting focus;
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in SMB risk management, or underwriting;
  • Knowledge of interpreting financial statements and bank data;
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented. You’re the nerd who makes their shopping lists in Excel;
  • No ego. A can-do attitude coupled with the mindset that no task is too small;
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment;
  • Keen interest in the financial technology industry;
  • Passion to help small businesses.

Attributes and Nice to Haves:

  • Knowledge of Salesforce, JIRA, and Confluence;
  • Previous startup experience; specifically, in the fintech lending space.
