Customer Success Specialist

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Customer Success Specialist to join our Lending team in downtown Toronto. Ideally, you want to make an impact in whatever you do, enjoy problem-solving, and can build rapport easily. You should enjoy selling, be highly self-motivated and have a passion for making a difference within the fintech industry.

What you will do

As part of the Customer Success team, you will be responsible for the experience, throughput and the educational journey for customers. In a startup, there is no shortage of initiatives or projects, so you’ll have the opportunity to get exposure to all functions of the business, including: adjudication, marketing, product development, and data science.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to and solving customer issues by managing inbound calls, tracking applications, and developing solutions
  • Follow up with new and existing applicants to guide them through the funding process
  • Develop strong relationships with clients by providing a great customer experience
  • Exceed sales targets, track metrics, and sift through data to pinpoint areas of improvement for our processes
  • Collaborate with a small team across the entire company to ensure we constantly improve our technology and ability to scale

Qualifications

  • University degree with a business, finance, or communications focus
  • 2-3 years of work experience in a client facing role

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a .Net Developer who wants to be a part of building our next generation product. Our development team based in downtown Vancouver are looking for a back-end developer to play a key role in creating new features, enhancing existing features and ensuring our product can scale and grow to meet individual customer needs. Ideally, you enjoy technical challenges, pushing boundaries, and working in an agile environment. You should be a collaborative team player who enjoys the variety of small teams, who will promote best practices, and who brings enough technical depth to help us scale as we grow.

What you will do

You will be part of a cross-functional team building highly scalable services. You will think about the problem, weigh technical options against business needs and design carefully before writing high-quality code that is clean and well structured.

Your responsibilities

  • Write clean, high-quality, high-performance and maintainable code and related tests and deployment scripts;
  • Identify achievable solutions to technical problems that are smart and practical;
  • Collaborate with product managers and other developers to create a best-in-class software;
  • Own and deliver features that are compliant with software security standards and protocols;
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor less experienced developers;
  • Help define and evolve the existing software architecture, design, process, standards and anything else you can think of.

Your qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or relevant work experience;
  • 5+ years programming experience with .NET, C#, SQL Server, RESTful Web Services;
  • Experience working with software patterns and anti-patterns and understanding of best practices;
  • Experience working in an agile environment with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment;
  • Proven experience taking ownership of a technical solution from design to deployment;
  • Have hands-on experience shipping real software;
  • Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders;

Who we are looking for

Researcher, thinker, integrator. We are looking for someone to drive the right features, at the right time keeping product stability as a priority. Quality and efficiency are part of your DNA – you’ll build and own the roadmap and deployment plan – in collaboration with key stakeholders of course. Being a process ninja would be awesome too.

What you will do

You will balance your knowledge of the business, the customers and the dev team to set the path for releasing high-quality features often. You’ll stay on top of industry trends and identify the right steps to meet customer needs. Your process skills will allow you to improve efficiency and remove blockers for the dev team by identifying workflows, business rules and user stories that need to be implemented.

Your responsibilities

  • Identify and manage new features and releases through the full product lifecycle;
  • Deliver high-quality product releases on a high frequency and iterative basis;
  • Work with the VP of Product to continuously update the product vision and product roadmap;
  • Build, groom and maintain sprint backlogs in JIRA to ensure we’re always ahead of the game;
  • Work closely with technical leads to define and communicate a tactical project plan that delivers the most value as early and as frequently as possible;
  • Identify product and technical issues and recommend and track solutions;
  • Know the product inside and out.

Your qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years product management or product development experience in a web application environment;
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends;
  • Great communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and experience navigating unchartered water or starting a new initiative;
  • Experience working in an agile environment with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment;
  • You know how to manage changing requirements of a product and can prioritize bugs, technical debt and new features within a Backlog;
  • Hands-on experience creating and leading tech products.

Attributes and Nice to Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar or related product area, preferably finance, B2B SaaS or tech startup;
  • Project management and business analysis experience;
  • BS/BA in Engineering or similar field is a plus.
